In this role, you'll be engaged in merchandising and stocking products, providing excellent customer service at the register, and maintaining a clean, inviting store environment. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.00; Year 3 - $20.50; Year 4 - $20.50; Year 5 - $21.50 Your Responsibilities: As a Retail Store Associate, you will: Consistently showcase the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) outlined for the role. Process customer purchases while maintaining a clean and organized store. Stock shelves and arrange merchandise displays to enhance customer experience. Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers every step of the way. Work closely with team members and communicate effectively with management. Provide valuable feedback on products, inventory issues, and other operational concerns. Participate in inventory counts periodically to ensure accuracy. Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses. Comply with all company policies while ensuring the security of sensitive information. Undertake other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving, including lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store. Ability to perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodations. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Strong customer service skills. Ability to operate a cash register accurately and efficiently. Ability to safely use equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers. Competence in performing general cleaning duties to maintain store standards. Ability to understand and apply company policies effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a retail environment is a plus. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
