As a Retail Store Associate, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.00 Year 3 - $20.50 Year 4 - $20.50 Year 5 - $21.50 Duties and Responsibilities: Exhibit the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) for the role. Process customer purchases, ensure general cleaning duties are completed, and stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly. Deliver outstanding customer service, assisting shoppers to enhance their experience. Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with management. Provide valuable feedback on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and any store-related issues. Take part in inventory counts and monitor stock for precision. Follow cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses. Adhere to company policies and maintain the security of documents and data. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving, including lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store. Must be capable of performing duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: A minimum age of 18 years is required for employment in this role. Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service. Experience operating a cash register efficiently and accurately. Capability to safely use equipment like electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers. Experience performing general cleaning duties to uphold company standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in working independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task professionally and efficiently. Meet any state and local regulations for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience in a retail setting is preferred.
