Join our dynamic team as a Retail Store Assistant Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and fostering team development. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with day-to-day store functions and activities to ensure smooth operations.
Engaging with customers in a friendly and approachable manner to address their questions and concerns.
Organizing and transferring merchandise from our delivery truck to the stockroom and sales floor, while maintaining seasonal areas.
Executing opening and closing procedures as required.
Processing corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests.
Maintaining the promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
Assisting with merchandise ordering, handling damaged items, and managing record-keeping related to payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits.
Keeping the store a well-stocked and organized space according to company standards.
Protecting company assets, including store cash, and ensuring security measures are upheld.
Upholding policies and procedures, particularly safety guidelines, while ensuring all associates comply with company standards.
Supporting the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
Creating a positive and respectful environment through professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including restocking and cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors, taking out trash, and ensuring all areas are presentable.
Performing additional duties as needed.
Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with the ability to read and interpret operational directives.
Experience in retail management is a plus.
Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet the demands of a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
A collaborative team player able to thrive in a high-energy environment.
Exceptional organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills are required.
