Retail Stockroom Coordinator
The Retail Stockroom Coordinator oversees merchandise and supply receipt processing and inventory movement, as well as outbound shipping for the Newfields Retail Services department. The ideal candidate will be a team player, a self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to work on multiple tasks. Retail experience and a shipping/receiving background preferred. Work schedule may include occasional evening or weekend hours.
Responsibilities
- Merchandise / Supply Processing
- Coordinate and process receiving and stockroom operations of all incoming retail product and operating supplies.
- Inspect and ticket all merchandise
- Transfer merchandise to selling locations and/or to storage location.
- Process vendor returns.
- Update and maintain policies for all shipping companies
- Process all outgoing retail services shipments and maintain records.
- Wholesale/Ecommerce
- Process all wholesale and ecommerce outgoing shipments.
- Update the Shopify ecommerce program with order tracking information.
- Provide customer service for shipping inquiries.
- Maintain organization and basic stock inventory of merchandise and supplies in the Service Level Stockroom and other on-site storage areas.
- Store Operations
- Knowledge of Retail Services and Newfields policies
- Thorough knowledge of all Retail Services merchandise
- Assist on the salesfloor, when needed.
- Document and update all procedures for the Retail Services Procedural Manual.
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Language
- Ability to read and interpret general business documentation, reports, and paperwork
- Clear spoken communication skills

- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Education and/or Experience
- Prior retail experience
- Knowledge of merchandise processing (receiving, ticketing) a plus
- High School Diploma/GED
