Position Summary We're looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Retail Specialist / Merchandiser to ensure our products are displayed in a way that attracts customers and drives sales. This role combines creativity, analytical thinking, and strong collaboration with vendors and retail teams to optimize product placement, promotions, and inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement eye-catching product displays and seasonal promotions.
Monitor sales performance to identify high-performing products, losses, and profit opportunities.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and distributors to maximize margins.
Use customer insights, sales data, and market trends to adjust merchandising strategies.
Train retail staff on stock rotation, product placement, and display standards.
Evaluate and improve store layouts and product presentation for maximum impact.
Review customer feedback to forecast demand and plan seasonal stock levels.
Research competitor pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
Track inventory levels, ensuring product availability without overstocking.
Analyze sales reports and consumer behavior data to recommend adjustments that increase profitability.
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail merchandising or a related field.
Strong understanding of inventory management and retail operations.
Ability to analyze sales data and identify consumer trends.
Negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors.
Creative eye for display design and product presentation.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to train and support team members.
Preferred Experience
Previous hands-on retail experience.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and sales tracking software.
Knowledge of current market and seasonal merchandising trends.
