Position Summary : Oversee daily retail operations. Train, schedule, and supervise sales staff. Manage inventory and merchandising for the shop. Help customers and process transactions.
Job Relationships : Responsible To: Guests, Director of Skier and Rider Services Employees Supervised: Alpine Shop Sales Staff Inter-Relationships: Work closely with retail shop staff to better serve our guests, and with supervisor to collaborate on inventory levels and buying decisions. Duties and Responsibilities : Keep accurate cash count Inventory merchandise and provide input on needed re-orders Operate a Point of Sale (POS) station Train staff members on POS operation, sales, and guest service Create and maintain retail shop staff schedule Familiarize yourself with merchandise to educate staff and better answer guest questions Demonstrate positive guest service at all times Keep work area clean & neatly organized at all times Additional duties may be assigned Requirements
Qualifications : Certification: none Experience: Minimum one year retail sales including POS or cash register operation. Management or supervisory experience is preferred. Basic computer skills Other Requirements: Ability to relate in a positive manner to all guests and co-workers Environmental Factor : Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time Continuous exposure to public Frequent lifting of items weighing 40 Lbs. or more Frequent overhead lifting of items weighing 20 Lbs. or more Guest facing position Values Implementation: Always responds to guests' needs Seeks ways to improve guest service Takes pride in knowing that 49 North is a quality ski resort - The most affordable, friendly family ski area in the region
