We hope so.The Retail Sales Professional at Luminary Hotel & Co is a frontline ambassador for the retail experience, responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while driving individual and store sales goals. This role focuses on actively engaging with guests to promote product knowledge, support inventory accuracy, maintain visual standards, contribute to social media efforts, and assist in developing retail training materials. The Retail Sales Professional ensures seamless guest experience through consistent performance and high personal accountability.This position supports a 7-day, 24-hour operation. Flexibility is required, including shifts outside typical hours based on business needs. A warm, hospitable demeanor is always essential.What you have 3-5 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a high-touch or hospitality environment.Strong selling and communication skills with the ability to create memorable guest experiences.Comfortable with POS systems and retail inventory software (Micros, DataWorks experience preferred).Passion for visual merchandising and brand presentation.Basic proficiency in social media platforms and interest in content creation.Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.Energetic, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.Ability to collaborate with Sales Department and participate in meetings and site walk-throughs.What you'll do Sales & Customer EngagementDeliver exceptional customer service by engaging every guest with enthusiasm, product knowledge, and personalized attention.Consistently meet or exceed personal and departmental sales goals through proactive selling strategies and upselling.Build and maintain a local and repeat clientele by establishing trusted relationships with guests.Assist with customer issues and ensure satisfaction, escalating concerns as needed to leadership.Sales CollaborationWork closely with the Sales Department to sell and promote the Group Retail Amenity Menu.Participate in site visits, walk-throughs, and planning meetings with Meeting Planners to present the retail offerings.Support the development and customization of amenity packages that reflect group needs and hotel standards.Serve as a retail liaison during key events to ensure timely execution and guest satisfaction.Inventory ManagementSupport daily inventory processes including POs creation, receiving, tagging, restocking, and organizing merchandise.Accurately complete sales transactions and returns using Micros POS; assist with inventory count adjustments, POs, and transfers via DataWorks.Participate in monthly and quarterly physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliation of discrepancies.Communicate shortages, damages, or inventory issues to the Corporate Director of Retail promptly.Visual MerchandisingExecute daily merchandising and visual display standards that reflect brand identity and seasonal direction.Ensure merchandise is clean, well-presented, and appropriately signed and priced.Assist with floor resets and window displays under the direction of the Corporate Director of Retail.Provide real-time feedback on product movement, customer response, and visual opportunities.Social Media & Content SupportCollaborate with the Corporate Director of Retail to capture and curate social media content that reflects the retail story, new arrivals, and promotions.Assist in creating short-form content including product spotlights, behind-the-scenes features, and styling ideas for digital channels.Provide insights from in-store customer interaction to inform digital strategy.Training & DevelopmentContribute to the development of the Retail Training Manual, including sales techniques, POS procedures, visual standards, and service expectations.Provide peer-to-peer support and assist with onboarding new team members.Share best practices and knowledge to cultivate a high-performing and informed sales floor culture.Physical Demand Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; lift to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.Able to bend, reach, lift, and carry items while merchandising or receiving shipments.Comfortable working varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and peak sales periods.Mental DemandsMust be self-motivated with strong time management and problem-solving skills.Adaptable to fast-paced environments with the ability to handle stress professionally.Able to balance individual responsibilities with team goals.Benefits:Full-time Associate BenefitsMedical, Dental, & Vision | HSA & Flexible Spending Account Options | Basic Life & Disability Plan Options | 401K Retirement Plan | Paid Time Off | Holiday Pay | Career Training & Development Opportunities | Tuition Reimbursement | Bereavement Leave | Employee Assistant Program (EAP) | Jury Duty (May vary by state) | Employee Discounts | Employee Referral Bonus | Free meal for all full-service hotel employeesPart-time Associate BenefitsAll above-listed benefits except for Medical Insurance, Holiday Pay, Tuition ReimbursementMainsail is an Equal Opportunity Employer and it does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, military service and veteran status, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws and ordinances.
