Overview: GrowGeneration is one of the largest retailers of hydroponic products in the United States and is engaged in the business of marketing and distributing horticultural, organics, lighting, and hydroponics products, including lighting fixtures, nutrients, seeds and growing media, systems, trays, fans, filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, timers, instruments, water pumps, irrigation supplies and hand tools.
Position Reports To: Regional Manager
Purpose of Position: This role replaces the traditional store management function with a focus on front-of-house sales, customer engagement, and new business development. Sales Managers will lead sales initiatives, manage walk-in business, and ensure strong conversion to private label products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive sales performance at hub locations with accountability for revenue, margin, and private label penetration.
- Expand customer spending through upselling, cross-selling, and bundle opportunities.
- Lead the sales floor to ensure strong customer experience and proactive engagement with every walk-in.
- Convert customers to private label products through education, promotion, and value demonstration.
- Prospect and acquire new business, including outreach to lapsed or high-potential customers.
- Develop, coach, and motivate front-line sales staff to achieve individual and team goals.
- Manage merchandising and promotional execution to maximize sales opportunities.
- Partner with Commercial Sales Reps and Regional/District Managers to ensure account-level coverage and growth.
- Report weekly on sales performance, customer growth, and private label results.

Compensation includes a salary commensurate with experience, participation in group insurance plans upon eligibility, paid time off, sick leave, parental leave and more. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees and their dependents that includes:

Part-time employees are eligible for up to six (6) days of paid sick leave (subject to state and local laws), two (2) weeks of paid parental leave, and participation in the 401k. Employees that move from part-time to full-time status may receive less than ten (10) PTO days based on their anniversary date. Benefits may be subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditions.

Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
- 3+ years management experience highly desired
- Ability to manage others and promote a positive working environment
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack safely and responsibly
- Ability to use a computer and inventory OS with accuracy
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and emotional intelligence during stressful or confidential situations
- Ability to work in hot or cold conditions for duration of shift
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift minimum 50 lbs. to waist heigh repeatedly
