We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Lead to join our team, specializing in school uniforms. The ideal candidate will support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and help maintain store standards. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who thrives in a retail environment and enjoys helping families get ready for the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and special orders for school uniforms.
Lead and motivate summer sales associates during peak season; act as the main point of contact in the manager's absence.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment and organization.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised sales floor.
Open and close the store, including handling cash, registers, and daily reporting.
Train new employees and support ongoing staff development during peak season.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Handle customer concerns or returns professionally and promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of retail experience preferred; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with school uniform products and customer needs is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Availability to work flexible hours including Saturday's and peak summer season.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform light physical tasks related to stock and displays.
