As a Retail Sales Associate, you'll provide each customer with an exceptional experience by helping them find and purchase animals, supplies, and services. Through engaging interactions, you'll assess the needs of guests and their pets to offer today’s solutions and future needs. You will also assist with connecting them to specialists when necessary. Key Responsibilities: Engage with guests to provide a great experience using your skills and knowledge. Assist customers in selecting merchandise according to their needs. Show a strong interest in the welfare, health, and proper handling of all animals. Process transactions to ensure a positive experience for each guest. Contribute to achieving sales goals by understanding guest needs and advancing future business. Ensure merchandise is well-stocked, properly priced, and attractively displayed. Complete training programs to maintain expertise in your role. Adhere to operational guidelines, policies, and procedures. Foster a culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Essential Qualities: Able to work effectively within a team. Demonstrates a genuine interest in animal care. Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in sales or retail. Knowledge of pet nutrition and sales techniques. Work Environment: This role primarily takes place indoors, with some tasks requiring brief trips outside for merchandise receiving. Physical activity includes bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pull up to 2000 lbs using appropriate equipment.
