The Retail Sales Associate plays a key role in maintaining an organized and customer-friendly environment. Responsibilities include assisting customers, restocking merchandise, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the store. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with a friendly and approachable demeanor, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive and personalized shopping experience.
• Execute daily tasks related to maintaining the retail store, including but not limited to restocking shelves, organizing displays, ensuring product availability, and maintaining cleanliness standards, contributing to a visually appealing and well-organized shopping environment.
• Proficiently handle financial transactions within the retail store, demonstrating accuracy in processing sales, handling cash, and utilizing point-of-sale systems.
• Ensure compliance with established cash-handling procedures and contribute to maintaining the financial integrity of the store.
• Cultivate positive and effective interactions with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, visitors, and patrons, by providing attentive and personalized assistance.
• Follow inventory management guidelines, including organizing stockrooms and shelves, contributing to a well-organized and visually appealing retail space that aligns with the store's layout and presentation standards.
• Perform other duties assigned

• High school diploma or GED required
• Preferred background includes a foundational knowledge of retail practices, encompassing customer service principles, inventory management, and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
• Comfortable processing financial transactions with precision, including handling cash, utilizing point-of-sale systems, and ensuring accuracy in sales transactions
• Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and interpersonal, essential for engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders and addressing customer inquiries
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays required, not including school holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required
• Ability to consistently lift heavy items within the established weight limits
• Ability to follow and execute specific verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
