You'll play a key role in maintaining store cleanliness and pet safety while caring directly for the pets in our store. Key Responsibilities Create delightful experiences for pet parents through friendly interactions, whether in-person, over the phone, or online. Welcome pet parents and answer all inquiries throughout the store. Prepare online orders for in-store pick-up, ensuring a seamless process. Provide daily care for store-owned pets, including feeding, watering, and maintaining clean habitats. Uphold cleanliness standards in the store. Assist during weekly pricing changes and monthly promotions. Organize and display new products effectively on the sales floor. Recommend and sell merchandise, services, and live pets to customers. Administer medication to store-owned pets as instructed by a veterinarian. Promote special events like adoption weekends and pet charity events. Maintain a safe environment for associates, pets, and customers. Act promptly to address any sick or injured pets, coordinating care as needed. Assist in various store areas and services as required. Contribute to a culture of belonging and recognition. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills. Flexible schedule; able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Physical Requirements Be prepared to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders, and use hands for various tasks. Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly; assist in lifting over 100 pounds when necessary. Be comfortable working in a wet environment with potential exposure to pet hair.
