HealthFitness has a great opportunity for on-call (as needed) GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTORS at our client site located in Kingsport, TN. In this position, you will provide general Group Fitness instruction and/or Yoga Instruction as a part of the on-site Group Fitness program. You will interact with members and program participants to deliver safe and effective group exercise instruction and be responsible for providing quality service to participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes and customer satisfaction. Looking for instructors to teach one or more of the following formats: HIIT, strength training, step, hi/lo, kickboxing, Yoga, Pilates, barre, etc.  MUST HAVE COMPLETED ALL DOSES OF COVID-19 VACCINATION TO BE CONSIDERED.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver safe and effective group exercise instruction according to program guidelines.

Submit time cards bi-weekly as requested by Program Manager.

Strong interpersonal communications and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.  Ability to modify class according to participants’ physical abilities.

Collection of Group Fitness passes from members for participation.

Communication with Group Fitness Coordinator to maintain excellence within the program.

Adherence to arranged instructor schedule. Maintain accurate class attendance according to program policy.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

Current group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NETA or other nationally accredited specialty class certification.

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment.

PREFERRED:

2+ years group exercise instruction experience.

Experience instructing group exercise classes (HIIT, strength training, step, hi/lo, kickboxing, Yoga, Pilates, barre, etc.).

Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to motivate others.
