Retail Cashier/Clerk Team Member

You will report to the Store Manager and Supervisor.

As a team member, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting customers in the store as well as performing all cash register functions. Responsibilities will also include receiving and preparing products and maintaining attractive displays within the store. You will help keep the store clean and well-stocked with products.

You will ensure customers are delighted by their experience by providing friendly and efficient customer service.

Responsibilities Deliver consistently excellent customer service and address issues in a timely and effective way. Our goal is to delight the customer and exceed their expectations! Control customer flow to reduce waiting time for customers. Follow procedures for customer checkout, handling of tenders, use of tares, and sales of alcoholic beverages. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment by changing tapes and ribbons as needed, sweeping floors, and dusting logs. Operate and sanitize all equipment safely and properly. Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked, and by regularly front-facing, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date products. Assist with the sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing. Operate and sanitize all Grocery equipment safely and properly. Address customer calls quickly and with excellent phone etiquette. Requirements You have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team You enjoy interacting with customers and can sell proactively You're able to deliver information clearly and respectfully to fellow team members and customers You follow instructions and procedures You manage your time and effort effectively You have a strong work ethic and integrity You are available to work weekends You can work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency Use of tools and equipment, including box cutters Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness Desired Work Experience Previous customer service experience preferred Retail experience preferred 50 to 70 lbs
