Location: Mackinac Straits Health System – St. Ignace, MI Schedule: Tuesday–Friday | 8:15 AM – 6:45 PM; Saturday/Sunday/Holidays | 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Mondays off) Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: October 20, 2025 Pay Rate: $30 - $40/hr Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-Call: None We are seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician to join the team at Mackinac Straits Health System in St. Ignace, MI. This role is ideal for a certified technician with retail pharmacy and Epic experience who can provide accurate, efficient, and patient-centered medication support. Key Responsibilities Prepare medications for patients under pharmacist supervision. Receive, verify, price, and fill prescriptions. Complete prescription-related patient paperwork and assist with insurance claim processing. Obtain pharmacist approval for dispensed medications. Stock and price medications, ensuring inventory accuracy. Deliver medications to patients or facilities as needed. Adhere to infection control and safety procedures. Requirements Education/Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification (required) Experience: Past retail experience preferred (not required) Technical Skills: Epic experience (required) Licensure: Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician License (required at submission) BLS: Preferred Dress Code: Caribbean Blue Scrubs
