This position performs all necessary tasks to support the effective daily operations of department services and handles a high volume of work with minimal direct supervision. **The value you'll bring to the team:** + Prepares and distributes medications in a timely manner. + Collects patient information and explains any insurance changes or complications. + Ensures pharmacists are aware of patient needs and prescription checks. + Assures orders are processed, dispensed, and delivered accurately and promptly. + Assists in billing processes and maintains knowledge of insurance changes. **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications** : + High School Grad or Equivalent + Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPHT) + One year of pharmacy technician experience, in a retail pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, central fill, or hospital setting OR completion of a pharmacy technician student internship at AdventHealth in a retail or hospital setting, in lieu of pharmacy technician experience. **Preferred qualifications:** + Prior experience processing and filling prescriptions + 3 Retail Pharmacy experience, at least 3-5 years + Specialty pharmacy experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
