Black River Health is recruiting for (1) Full-time Retail Pharmacist. This position is benefited, day shift, working 80 hours per pay period, with rotating weekends (Saturday only – ½ day). The desired candidate will have a B.S. in a five-year pharmaceutical program or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D). This position is located at our Krohn Clinic campus.

Essential Duties:

• Dispenses prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety.
• Provides patient counseling regarding prescription and non-prescription medications, drug interactions, and proper usage.
• Reviews and verifies prescription orders to ensure accuracy, legality, and clinical appropriateness.
• Collaborates with prescribers and healthcare professionals to recommend therapeutic alternatives and resolve medication-related issues.

Participates in the management of the 340B Drug Pricing Program in alignment with organizational policy.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in a five-year pharmaceutical program or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Current and unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacist in the State of Wisconsin
• Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and point-of-sale technologies
• Strong clinical knowledge and counseling skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
