Retail Operations Specialist

As a Retail Operations Specialist, you will support matchday and event merchandise readiness by receiving, organizing, and distributing Sporting KC branded products with efficiency, accuracy, and pride. This position requires availability for 20 to 25 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There are no matchday responsibilities, with occasional weekend shifts available. Sporting Kansas City is an equal opportunity employer. Associate Perks

Pay starting at $16.00 per hour. Eligible for performance increases each Major League Soccer season you return. 20% retail discount on merchandise.

Essential Functions

• Unload incoming merchandise shipments, check for quality issues or discrepancies, and label accurately per documentation
• Store products using FIFO method, maintain orderly stock zones, and conduct cycle counts
• Prepare merchandise replenishment kits for retail areas based on par levels and requisitions
• Use pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts (training provided) to stage items for distribution
• Uphold cleanliness, safety, and organizational protocols in the warehouse; follow all SOPs and safety guidelines
• Work alongside retail, operations, and event teams to support merchandise flow and game day readiness
• Assist inventory audits, log documentation, manage returns, handle damage reports, and other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Basic technology skills
• Reliable transportation
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate preferred
• Previous experience working in a public event venue or in a customer service role preferred
