ROLE SUMMARY

THIS ROLE IS POSTED IN PA AND NY. FLUENT is open to candidates who reside in either state. There is one position open.

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Associate Director and the Director of Retail Operations with various duties in the New York and Pennsylvania markets, including but not limited to managing, developing, and overseeing the growth of the Fluent dispensaries in accordance with the Medical Marijuana program in the states of New York and Pennsylvania and standards set by Fluent. This role is responsible for carrying out various duties regarding retail operations. The Retail Operations Manager provides support to all General Managers and store members, including training, policy and procedure updates, industry news, and product information. The Retail Operations Manager maintains the highest level of presentation, customer service, and compassion for all patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Assists the Director of Retail and Associate Director of Retail with multiple projects.

•Submit Petty Cash and Inventory Log from all dispensaries to the correct correspondents monthly

•Submit Inventory Return information on a monthly basis.

•Verify all stores perform audits in a timely and efficient manner.

•Contributes to the execution of new store openings and dispensary projects and events.

•Innovates, plans, and suggests ideas for execution at the retail level.

•Assists in overseeing the Pennsylvania market with vendor relations and inventory.

•Supports the Associate Director and Director of Retail Operations by ensuring a consistent and exceptional standard of customer service in all retail locations.

•Assists in training and developing the team to ensure they deliver outstanding customer service.

•Helps plan, organize and schedule leadership events for all regions twice a year.

•Engage and inspire store teams to achieve maximum performance by modeling behavior that fosters a sense of energy, ownership, teamwork, and personal commitment.

•Ensure departmental compliance with the Medical Use of Marijuana Program and HIPPA regulations including but not limited to confidentiality, training, patient record keeping, creation, review and submission of reports, preparation of policies and procedures.

•Works with Facilities Manager in preparing all new stores for opening

•Submits NY updated monthly retail matrix based on 90-day review on transactions

•Liaison to regional managers to ensure all new stores are properly staffed

•Works closely with the compliance team to correct notices of violation during an audit

•Supervises regional managers and hubs to ensure all stores have adequate merch and accessories

•Assists on updating AD on all dispensary-related SOPs and operation manuals with processes

•Come up with sales contests among regions and statewide

•Completes retail bonuses monthly

•Works with the Community Outreach Manager to review and maximize outreach efforts in all locations

•Work closely with HR recruiter to ensure our postings are postings are updated within a timely manner

•Reviews inventory forensics, audits and discrepancies and investigates issues if needed to ensure

•Updates spreadsheets and data charts including but not limited to excel sheets and Monday.com

•Provide the Regional and General Manager guidance on retail operations.

•Ensure all ERPS are complete within a timely manner

•Provides updated manager contact list to other departments

•Oversees users on Biotrack, Springbig, OMMUR and any other retail accounts

•Collaborates on the annual Manager Mixer and Leadership Event for every region

•Supervises the process of reviewing and responding to Google Reviews while working with the Regional and General Managers on solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

•5-7 years management experience

•4-year college degree

•Previous experience with sales

•Excellent customer service skills

•Leadership ability with at least five years of experience in a retail store setting or at least five years of experience of customer-facing sales in a business solutions environment.

•Leadership and organizational abilities

•Ability to manage a team of staff members during normal business hours in a fast-paced environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has supervisory responsibility of the General Managers located in their region.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The company will ask you to help out in other departments depending on company needs. This means that you may not always work in the department that you were hired, teamwork and getting product out to patients is the goal and this means helping out where you are needed is crucial to your success as well as the company's success.

Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 25 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position may sometimes require long hours and some weekend work.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Area Manager must travel to dispensaries responsible for at least once a month.

OTHER DUTIES

Area Manager is not limited to duties above but will be part of additional projects for retail.
