Retail Operations Assistant Manager

We are looking for a dedicated Retail Operations Assistant Manager to become a key part of our team. In this role, you will support store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and foster team development. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with daily store functions and activities to ensure smooth operations. Engaging with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery trucks to the stockroom and sales floor as needed, while maintaining seasonal displays and areas of the store. Performing opening and closing procedures to ensure the store is ready for business. Processing corporate directives effectively and keeping up with all store communications. Maintaining the promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays. Assisting in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and maintaining accurate records, including payroll and scheduling. Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom to meet company standards. Protecting company assets, including store cash, and adhering to safety protocols and policies. Helping the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates in a positive and respectful environment. Being responsible for store cleanliness, including restocking bathrooms, sweeping floors, and taking out trash. Performing other assigned duties as needed. Skills and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives is required. Previous experience in retail management is preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, frequent walking, standing, stooping, and repetitive lifting.
