We are looking to expand our presence with the launch of our first boutique shoe store in downtown Annapolis. We need a passionate and experienced Retail Manager to help bring our vision to life.
About the Role
As the Retail Manager, you will be the driving force behind our store’s success—leading sales, managing daily operations, and creating an engaging, customer-first shopping experience. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the store’s culture, develop a team, and introduce customers to our sustainable footwear collections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Launch & Operations – Oversee the setup and opening of our Annapolis boutique, ensuring a seamless and exciting launch.
  • Sales & Customer Experience – Drive sales through exceptional service, product knowledge, and engagement with our mission.
  • Team Leadership – Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team that shares our passion for sustainability and footwear innovation.
  • Inventory & Merchandising – Manage stock levels, optimize displays, and ensure a visually appealing store layout.
  • Community Engagement – Build relationships with local customers, businesses, and event organizers to promote Made+.
  • Performance & Reporting – Track sales, analyze trends, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experienced Leader – 3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in footwear, apparel, or lifestyle brands.
  • Customer-Centric – Passionate about delivering a top-tier shopping experience.
  • Sales-Driven – Skilled at coaching teams to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Operationally Savvy – Strong understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and retail best practices.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit – Excited to build and grow something from the ground up.
  • Sustainability-Minded – Aligned with the brand mission of eco-friendly, made-to-order footwear.
