OXXO USA, a leader in the convenience store industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Inventory Control Associate to join our growing team. This is an autonomous role ideal for individuals who thrive in independent work environments and enjoy being on the move.
JOB SUMMARY
As a Retail Inventory Control Associate, you will play a critical role in recording accurate inventory levels across our retail locations. You’ll be responsible for conducting physical inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring inventory is properly tracked and secure. This position requires standing for extended periods and working independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Two (2) or more years of retail or inventory control (Preferred)
- Required Certifications/Licensures: (Valid driver’s license)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned market.
- Basic math and reporting skills
- Computer skills such as excel, outlook, word, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts audits at all assigned stores within allotted time as scheduled by the Retail Inventory Control Manger.
- Perform accurate physical inventory counts of retail stock across assigned store locations.
- Reconcile inventory records and report audit results to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date records of audits and suggested retail pricing.
- Conduct compliance surveys and loss prevention audits.
- Ensure minimal disruption to store operations during inventory activities.
- Requires travel to multiple store locations in your assigned market and may even include travel outside of your typical market as needed to support broader inventory operations. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Manage time effectively to meet weekly inventory goals and deadlines.
- This is a field-based position requiring travel to multiple store locations.
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- The role also involves standing for extended periods and adapting to a variety of store settings.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, and counting inventory for extended periods.
