About the Role Opening Fall 2025, Rebecca Taylor is bringing its signature femininity, craftsmanship, and modern romanticism to Tribeca, New York, with the debut of a new boutique in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods. As General Manager, you will be the face and driving force of the Rebecca Taylor brand in Tribeca—responsible for building and inspiring a high-performing team, delivering exceptional client experiences, achieving sales goals, and overseeing every detail of daily operations. This is a unique opportunity to launch and shape a new flagship location from the ground up, deepening the brand’s connection with a discerning downtown clientele. Responsibilities Business & Sales Leadership Drive performance for the Tribeca boutique, consistently meeting and exceeding weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales targets. Lead by example on the sales floor—engaging directly with clients and coaching your team to deliver exceptional service and results. Partner with corporate marketing and PR teams to plan and execute events, activations, and trunk shows that speak to the Tribeca community. Collaborate closely with the retail leadership team on assortment planning and seasonal product strategies. Represent the Rebecca Taylor brand locally through strategic networking, partnerships, and community engagement to enhance awareness and foster loyalty. Monitor sales analytics and support long-term forecasting and goal-setting initiatives. Client Development Build a strong clienteling strategy centered on high-touch, personalized service and consistent outreach. Utilize CRM tools to cultivate and expand a comprehensive client base tailored to the Tribeca market. Introduce your network to Rebecca Taylor and develop relationships with stylists, influencers, and VIP clients. Cultivate a thriving private appointment business to elevate the client experience and drive loyalty. Team Building & Leadership Recruit, hire, and train a best-in-class retail team with a strong service mindset. Foster a collaborative, motivating, and inclusive culture aligned with the Rebecca Taylor ethos. Manage scheduling, payroll, and timekeeping in compliance with company policies. Conduct regular performance reviews and create individualized development plans to support career growth. Implement comprehensive onboarding and training programs to ensure team readiness and excellence. Store Operations Oversee all operational aspects, including budget management, payroll planning, and compliance with company policies. Maintain a beautifully curated store environment—from visual presentation to music and ambiance. Manage inventory control, weekly shipments, and shrink prevention. Establish and maintain opening/closing procedures and operational standards. Partner with logistics to ensure timely deliveries and optimal stock levels. Visual Merchandising Work with corporate visual teams to uphold the Rebecca Taylor aesthetic and storytelling in-store. Lead floor set execution and ensure presentation reflects best-sellers, key pieces, and new arrivals. Reporting & Communication Deliver weekly business recaps, insights, and performance reports to the corporate team. Contribute to materials and data for board meetings and executive reviews. Provide ongoing feedback to leadership and the design team regarding client preferences and opportunities.
Qualifications 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably in luxury fashion or womenswear. Proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales goals. Strong understanding of clienteling, CRM strategies, and retail analytics. Deep knowledge of New York City clientele and the Tribeca neighborhood is a plus. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for building lasting client relationships. Experience leading and developing high-performing teams. Proficiency in POS and retail systems (Shopify experience preferred). Expertise in inventory management and operational best practices. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and key retail dates.
