As a Retail General Manager Trainee, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position involves leading a dedicated team, managing processes, and implementing strategies designed to increase sales and achieve our organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Take hands-on responsibility for various business operations including retail store, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, and truck care.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized facility through regular cleanliness and safety checks.
Drive product and service sales through efficient inventory management, stocking, and merchandising standards.
Assist the General Manager in executing tasks, maintaining schedule and cash accuracy, and completing reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Analyze financial reporting, including profit and loss statements, to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
Collaborate with management in talent acquisition and team building efforts.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience in management within retail, convenience stores, or similar environments.
Experience managing operations with annual sales exceeding $2 million.
Proficiency in budgeting and reporting, including understanding P&L statements.
Experience supervising and training teams of 5-10+ employees.
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Skills and Requirements: Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills focused on customer satisfaction.
Exceptional customer service aptitude, building positive rapport, and ensuring satisfaction through effective operations management.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical demands include regular communication, standing, walking, lifting, and frequent movements, with the ability to lift/move items over 75 pounds.
