Job Summary
Hours: Typically Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, with occasional nights and weekends
As the Retail Food Service Manager , you’ll oversee daily operations of three retail food outlets under the direction of the Director of Food & Nutrition Services. You will lead all aspects of retail food service, including staff management, operations, financial oversight, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations for 3 retail locations
Supervise and engage retail staff; handle hiring, training, payroll, and performance
Maintain POS and self-checkout systems; ensure cash handling compliance
Monitor sales, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls
Oversee sanitation, safety, and compliance with corporate standards
Support new culinary rollouts and special functions
Train staff in customer service, portioning, cashiering, and food safety
Ensure excellent customer service and maintain interdepartmental collaboration
Complete all required reports and administrative documentation on schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Food Services Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
1–3 years of food retail management experience
Knowledge of food trends, cost control, sanitation, and presentation
P&L and retail marketing experience highly desirable
Strong communication, leadership, and computer skills (Microsoft Office, POS systems)
