Compensation : 26.92 - 31.25/hour
OVERVIEW
The Retail Field Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing and tracking the daily operations and HR-related activities within retail stores. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient store operations while providing support to the store managers, assisting with workforce management, and ensuring that the team adheres to company policies and procedures. This role may also specialize in the efficiency of retail leadership development, compliance, product planning, and store presentations, as well as contributing to the execution of retail marketing and sales strategies. The Retail Field Operations Specialist is a key support role within the retail department, acting as the liaison between various corporate departments. This role reports directly to the Retail Strategy Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate between Retail Strategy Manager and HR for retail leadership development, compliance, timesheet reconciliation, and efficiency. Ensure and document employee compliance with company policies and training: Maintain accurate records of signed agreements and training acknowledgements, while systematically monitoring operations to verify adherence to all company and department standards; and escalating discrepancies as needed.
Serve as a trusted resource for staff by answering questions, clarifying policies and ensuring everyone feels confident, informed, and supported in applying company standard.
Support the recruitment process by reinforcing developments through the Applicant Tracking System and assisting in the onboarding process by supporting the hiring manager's needs.
Conduct monthly store performance evaluations once a month that are timely and constructive, when needed.
Assist in communication to the field for all retail announcements such as promo changes, policy changes, marketing changes, product placement etc.
Collaborate with Retail Strategy Manager to create sales goals for each location, monitor progress toward those goals, and develop and track marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
Work with Retail Strategy Manager on identifying opportunities to ensure store presentations are 100% to standard.
Work with task management system to enhance efficiency, boost productivity, track time management, and ensure accuracy in daily operations.
Support inventory management by monitoring replenishment, operational supplies, displays & testers, and manual adjustments.
Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume.
Midday floor coverage (excluding opening or closing store) may be needed in the event of short staffing, call outs, and other staffing needs.
Perform other duties as assigned and approved by Retail Strategy Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Analytical Skills
Excellent math skills to draft and implement budgets and conduct data analysis.
Thorough understanding of retail industry products and services, and those of immediate competitors in the surrounding market.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus in Excel and Outlook, or related software.
Basic knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, with a focus in Photoshop & InDesign, or related software.
Must be able to regularly commute to our corporate office in Deer Park, at least 2 days are required if not traveling to a store.
Must be able to regularly travel to store locations, including occasional long-distance travel.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business, Business Management, Merchandising, or Marketing.
At least 2 years' experience in Retail Sales management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
