POSITION TITLE: Retail Designer - Feasibilities - Aerie Inc. REPORTS TO: Manager - Retail Design, Aerie Inc.

GRADE: will confirm PURPOSE:
The primary focus of this position will be to assess the viability of potential real estate opportunities through the development of feasibility studies for new retail spaces. This individual will need to have a thorough working knowledge of retail architecture with a focus on space planning and will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to evaluate each new location. RESPONSIBILITIES: Adapt current brand designs to develop innovative and creative design solutions consistent with brand strategy for new retail spaces. Develop new design strategies as required to adapt the design to atypical spaces. Advise Real Estate partners on challenges with the space and provide recommendations on how the space could be revised/expanded to meet the store needs. Review with the Visual Team to ensure that the feasibility meets merchandising requirements while maintaining key brand standards. Partner with Store Operations to ensure that the space meets functional requirements. Collaborate with the Construction team to identify challenges presented by the space including structural issues and site issues that could affect budget, schedule and design integrity. Prepare presentation materials and/or renderings as required for internal design reviews. Collaborate with Project Designers to manage the process as the project moves from feasibility to schematic design. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Retail Design, Store Planning, Architecture, or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Equivalent preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD (latest release). Experience with Revit preferred. Familiarity with Procore, SketchUp, 3D Rendering, and Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to understand & visualize architectural details. Proficient knowledge of Architectural Drawing details and Means & Methods. General understanding of building codes. Analytical & creative problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to multi-task through aggressive schedules in a very fast paced environment. Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and reporting. Demonstrates collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team. Pay/Benefits Information Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
