The Retail Department Manager is responsible for growing department sales to achieve the store sales plan. This role includes aspects of merchandising, customer service, and store maintenance.

Primary responsibilities include greeting and acknowledging every customer with Ollie's "Yes I Care, Yes I Can" approach, being knowledgeable of all products, promotions, and advertisements, assisting with receiving the truck and pricing items, ensuring that all product within the department is merchandised and recovered per the visual merchandise standards, communicating customer needs to Team Leaders when necessary, assisting with training new Associates, accurately and efficiently operating the register, and maintaining the cleanliness of the overall store.

Qualifications include a minimum of six months' retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business, the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis, and a positive attitude with the ability to interact well with customers and Associates.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 35 pounds, and stand for extended periods while working in a safe manner.
