The Club Manager is the leader steering the club's operations. This role is fundamental in driving profitability, executing company strategies, providing unparalleled value, ensuring an excellent member experience, managing team members, fostering talent development, and maintaining a safe and positive environment for both Team Members and Members. BJ's offers an extensive onboarding program designed to rapidly equip newly hired Club Managers with essential skills. This program, generally lasting 8-12 weeks, partners new managers with top-tier Club Managers and BJ's leaders, guiding them to grasp best practices and connecting leadership insights with real-life BJ's scenarios. Key Responsibilities Inspire your team by managing with vision, purpose, clear communication, and acknowledgment of achieved results. Foster a positive club culture that challenges, motivates, and recognizes Team Members for their successes. Develop talent and build a robust team by encouraging growth, accountability, and providing constructive feedback. Adapt quickly to change and effectively share crucial information to enable Team Members to perform their roles efficiently. Demonstrate sound decision-making that aligns with the Company's strategic goals and club operational success. Stay informed about local competition and retail marketplace trends. Control operating costs and promote operational efficiencies. Implement innovative concepts to enhance profitability. Embed the Company’s core values within the team and strive to exceed member expectations with a fantastic shopping experience. Achieve financial targets through effective warehouse supervision and proactive communication with the Home Office. Track progress towards key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the Home Office, such as productivity, audit performance, shrink management, and turnover. Qualifications Minimum of 4 years experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse management. A strong results-oriented mindset and a solid work ethic; honesty and transparency in delivering excellent service to members. Outstanding communication skills to lead and inspire large teams. Proficient in understanding profit & loss statements, shrink control, staff development, merchandising, customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. High school diploma desirable; a college degree preferred. Proven leadership skills, including managing cross-functional teams, training, and driving results. Flexibility in shift availability is necessary. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Environmental Job Conditions Frequent movement on hard surfaces; may require positioning oneself to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping. Regularly lifts objects up to 30 pounds and may need to move heavier items with assistance. Work is primarily indoors with frequent exposure to temperature variations and loud noises, along with occasional exposure to cleaning agents. As per Pay Transparency requirements, the compensation range for this position is estimated between $106,500.00 and $142,250.00, varying based on factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications.
