Job Summary This energetic, people person, will interact with customers, their family members, medical staff and colleagues on a daily basis in person, via telephone and electronically. You will be engaged in selling specific, related or general lines of merchandise, while supporting and educating customers. Will be responsible for maintaining welcoming and clean work environment. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Solicit sales of new or additional merchandise. Provide sales support in the retail showroom and special events. Talk with customers by phone or in person, receives orders for merchandise, installations or other services. .Fill out all necessary contract forms, determine charges for merchandise and services being purchased, collect deposits, update customer records as needed and all other paperwork required. Participates in compliance with established security, sales and record keeping procedures and practices. Assists with taking inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, updating operating records, preparing daily record of transactions, preparing requisitions and ordering merchandise. Responds to customer inquiries and refers issues to the designated departments for further investigation if needed. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree a plus. Minimum one year of relevant experience and/or training is retail sales. Medical or Durable Medical Equipment experience preferred. Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills. Must be highly organized and have the ability to handle several tasks at once. Proficient ability and practical knowledge of computers, software, office machines and products applicable to the industry. Proficient reasoning , math, and language skills. Ability to work in a standard retail setting while meeting basic physical demands like standing and/or sitting for long periods, walk, reach and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities preferred for this position include close, distance and peripheral, vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
