Join our dynamic team as a Retail Assistant Supervisor, where you will play a crucial role in managing daily store operations, enhancing store performance, and developing a motivated team. Your responsibilities will include creating effective action plans, managing schedules, and identifying training opportunities to foster team growth. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 38 hours per week Starting Wage: $25.00 per hour Wage Increase: Year 2 - $26.00 per hour Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve store operations. Clearly establish and communicate job expectations to team members. Identify training opportunities to help improve team performance. Promote core values and create a collaborative atmosphere among employees. Monitor local market trends and provide insights to maintain competitive positioning. Give product feedback and recommendations for store inventory improvements. Participate in the recruitment process of store personnel. Communicate key information related to store performance and team achievements. Ensure the team follows inventory, product handling, and cash control procedures. Address operational customer concerns in the absence of the store leader. Maintain a safe and clean store environment. Support effective stock management through ordering and merchandising. Oversee the quality of products and accuracy of signage. Help meet payroll, inventory budget targets, and train new staff effectively. Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that team members complete tasks efficiently for quality customer service. Adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Perform additional duties as required. Physical Demands: Ability to stock and handle merchandise, including lifting up to 45 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and walk throughout the store. Must be able to perform the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Job Qualifications: Must be 18 years old or older. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Capable of leading others in providing exceptional customer service. Able to build rapport and open communication within the team. Knowledge of company policies and procedures. Strong goal-setting and employee performance guidance skills. Ability to understand management principles related to budgeting and expenses. Efficient and accurate cash register operation skills. Experience operating store equipment and performing cleaning duties. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized, able to multi-task, and pay attention to detail. Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 3 years of retail experience. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Prior management experience is preferred.
