HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Retail Allocation and Ecommerce Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and strategic planning across both brick-and-mortar and online channels. This position partners closely with merchandising, finance, and operations teams to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time-maximizing sales and minimizing excess inventory.
This role will include dedicated collaboration with the business units supported-working closely with the Sales team as well as VPA team, specifically the DSI group, to align analytics and planning efforts with broader organizational goals.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Demand Forecasting:
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to predict future demand and optimize inventory levels
Produce demand forecasts for Retail-owned channels in support of S&OP function
Merchandise Planning: Partner with buyer to prepare seasonal line plans and inform buy amounts per SKU
Own Retail open to buy to develop and implement inventory plans, replenishment strategies, and sales forecasts
Monitor sales, inventory turnover, and other event Retail KPIs to identify areas of improvement to quickly implement in a fast paced event environment
Inventory Planning: Partner with warehouse to execute E&O in a timely fashion, within budgeted levels
Assess aged opportunities in an ongoing basis to limit overstocks and prevent space constraints
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term and short-term retail planning strategies
Own providing monthly outlook and periodic reforecasts with finance partners
Data Analysis: Utilize established as well as innovate ad hoc reporting to identify selling trends, opportunities and risks
Prepare and present reporting on performance, including but not limited to, event sell thru, buy sell thru, revenue performance vs target, inventory levels vs historical and target
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Strong understanding of retail strategies.
Ability to manage resources effectively and foster a collaborative environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues effectively.
Education, Certification and Experience Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field of study.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Retail Planning.
Experience with Salesforce preferred.
Experience in specialty retail, with event based focus.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel requirements are limited, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. This may include attending events at various locations, visiting other Varsity Brands locations or offices for meetings or customer / vendor visits required to meet business objectives or gain business familiarity.

This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role requiring ability to operate a computer and technology on a daily basis.
