You’ll need a friendly, courteous manner to answer phone calls and make accurate reservations for guests. Responsibilities: • Respond to questions about the menu and memorize the daily specials whenever needed • Greet guests warmly as they enter to create a positive first impression of the restaurant • Check the dining room constantly for cleanliness and organization and restock condiments on the table as necessary • Clean up and clear plates after guests leave, and get the table ready for the next customers • Handle booking of reservations, be quick to solve seating problems, and troubleshoot any phone inquiries from customers Qualifications: • Skills needed for this role include excellent people skills, time management, organization skills, and the ability to handle customer requests and situations quickly with a pleasant demeanor • Must be able to handle a fast-paced atmosphere with periods of standing on feet for an extended length of time • This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a good command of the English language • Knowledge of the food and beverage industry and/or hospitality industry is appreciated but not a requirement
