Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking experienced Certified Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be reviewing Prior Authorizations for a Pharmacy Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. You will be responsible for approving or denying prior authorizations and forwarding them to a pharmacist for final review.

Responsibilities

• Handling all health plans and all types of medications.
• Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejections and conducting member and physician outreach.
• Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
• Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or direction on processing.
• Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.

Requirements

• Nationally Certified Technician (Preferred)
• Pharmacy State Registration
• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills

Skills

• Experience with prior authorization processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Experience in call centers, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings.

Work Environment

We are seeking candidates who thrive in a structured remote work setting. This role involves multitasking across multiple screens and systems, so strong technical proficiency and attention to detail are essential.

Schedule

• Availability Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM (In your time zone) for an assigned 8-hour shift
• Willingness to work rotating weekends every 46 weeks and some holidays

Training Schedule:

• Training hours are 10:00 AM 6:30 PM EST

Equipment Provided:

• Company-issued computer, monitor, and headset

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
