How you'll make an impact in this role
- Lead the birth and recovery experience by implementing personalized care plans that prioritize the safety, comfort, and clinical stability of both the parent and the newborn. - Advocate for the family unit by serving as the central coordinator between obstetricians, pediatricians, and specialists to ensure a seamless and supportive care journey. - Deliver expert clinical interventions by executing physician orders with precision, ensuring every stage, labor through postpartum, is managed with the highest safety standards. - Empower new families for the transition home by assessing discharge needs early and providing the education and resources necessary for a confident start at home.
What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
One or more of the following are preferred:
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program. - Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- LDRP experience preferred.
