Job Title: Outpatient Psychiatrist (Adult)
Location: Oroville, CA

A community-based behavioral health organization is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients in an outpatient setting. This role offers a structured schedule, manageable patient volume, and dedicated administrative time to support thorough, patient-centered care.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations (60 minutes for new patients)

• Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care (30 minutes per visit)

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Diagnose and treat a range of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other serious mental illnesses

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, case managers, and social workers

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

• Participate in care coordination and discharge planning as needed

• Outpatient adult population (18+)

• Structured visit times:

  • New evaluations: 60 minutes

  • Follow-ups: 30 minutes

• Dedicated documentation time: 1 hour daily

• Typical schedule: Monday Friday, daytime hours

• No call required

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)

• DEA license required

• Experience in outpatient or community mental health preferred

• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage a diverse adult patient population

• Strong diagnostic and medication management skills
