Overview details describe a hybrid role based out of San Francisco, requiring onsite engagement an average of 3 days per week. Local to the Bay Area preferred or candidates willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project delivery to ensure planograms are accurately implemented and maintained, delivered on time for launches or deadlines, and exceed client expectations.
  • Independently lead a large portfolio of concurrent retail merchandising projects, understanding the strategic nuances of each product and program.
  • Develop detailed program plans, visualize roadmaps, and align resources against project requirements, considering complex dependencies and potential conflicts.
  • Understand client strategies, drive scope prioritization, and respond with flexibility and momentum.
  • Define, document, and optimize process innovations to drive efficiencies; adopt automation and tools to streamline workflows.
  • Anticipate, identify, and communicate program risks and proactively offer solutions to mitigate challenges.
  • Lead a geographically distributed project management team to manage high-volume creation, review, production, and delivery of data and creative assets, ensuring accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Leverage advertising agency background and experience in high-volume creative production at scale; prefer a background in retail merchandising, in-store marketing, or field marketing; experience with store planograms, schematics, renderings, layouts, floorplans, and related deliverables; ability to implement product strategy for retail environments.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management experience in an advertising agency environment, managing high-volume delivery of creative assets within a defined product lifecycle.
  • Experience coaching geographically distributed project management teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex, concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to manage, lead, and influence clients, stakeholders, and global teams.
  • Experience using complex project and workflow management tools.
  • Experience developing and managing creative project scopes and delivery timelines, including identifying and resolving issues, errors, and delays.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive mindset.
  • Prior experience managing teams in the retail planning & merchandising space is strongly preferred, including familiarity with:
    • retail customer experience implications for space planning decisions to maximize sales and enhance the shopping experience;
    • business drivers for merchandising, store planning, and retail partnerships worldwide;
    • large production teams using modeling and 2D/3D software to develop floor/space diagrams, table/fixture layouts, and product icons; and
    • quality assurance expectations to ensure deliverables meet exacting specifications (consistency, visual indicators, spacing/sizing, product accuracy, and volume accuracy).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation Range: $144,670-$188,025 annually. Compensation determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and position requirements; may be modified as needed.
