PRODUCTION MANAGER - 2nd Shift

The purpose of this position is to strategically execute the operating schedule most efficiently and cost-effectively possible, while maintaining compliance with all governmental and regulatory bodies. This is accomplished by co-laboring with other departments, analysing and reporting data and trends, and actively directing, coaching, and training direct reports.
Responsibilities & duties
- Execute the production schedule efficiently and economically by collaborating with supervisors and other departments while encouraging a culture of safety that adheres to GMP, HACCP, and SSOP protocols as required.
- Setting goals for the department and team, following through, and communicating goals and their progress to the Assistant Plant Manager/Plant Manager.
- Planning and executing plans to achieve set goals (e.g. 98% SVA, 97% Finished Case Yield, etc.) and eliminate all rework.
- Developing procedures and related training materials in conjunction with QA that conform to company, customer, government, and BRC standards.
- Gathering and analysing any relevant data to discover and present operational trends and growth opportunities in a concise, accurate and professional manner.
- Actively coaching, directing and evaluating direct reports and providing those evaluations to the Assistant Plant Manager/Plant Manager.
- Assisting the Assistant Plant Manager with tasks, projects, initiatives, and investigations as needed, and being able to assume his responsibilities in his absence.
