Location: Corning, NY, USA 14831 Day-to-Day Responsibilities Provide model-based analytical support to address real production challenges. Collect process inputs and experimental data to define problems and deliverables. Apply rigorous scientific principles in flow, mass/heat transfer, electrical and magnetic fields, and chemical reactions to develop deep technical understanding of key process steps. Select appropriate modeling tools and determine the technical approach for solving complex numerical problems. Collaborate with process engineers for model validation and enhancement. Communicate model findings and recommend process improvements. Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Required Education & Experience MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. 0 years required beyond graduate school (recent graduates encouraged to apply). Required Skills Strong fundamentals in physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, fluid dynamics, and mass/heat transfer. Experience with modeling software such as ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, or equivalent open-source tools. Knowledge of numerical modeling and computational methods. Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Desired Skills & Experience 2+ years in relevant industry roles (preferred). Knowledge of plasma and statistical mechanics. Strong data analysis and interpretation skills. Experience with Python or MATLAB for code development. Familiarity with process and product engineering environments.
