Job Title: Food Service/Prep Cook
Job Description
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook, where you will focus on preparing sides, appetizers, and desserts to delight a diverse student body. This role is essential in supporting the daily meal preparation for approximately 3,000 students, contributing to their educational experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare food items such as sides, appetizers, and desserts.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen after preparation and serving.
Store or discard excess food in compliance with safe food handling procedures.
Support the ordering and receiving of food supplies.
Foster positive relationships with coworkers and the student body.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in food preparation, handling, and production.
Customer service skills with a focus on interacting positively with students and faculty.
Reliability in fulfilling job duties and maintaining a consistent work schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in cooking is preferred but not required, with less than one year needed for prep cooks.
Flexibility for shifts and hours, including availability for nights and weekends.
Reliable transportation is preferred but not mandatory, as the location is accessible via public transport.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
