Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or catering service.

Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables and fruits. Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and preparing dishes as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all food handling guidelines are followed. Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, ovens, and grills safely and efficiently. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Adhere to health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.

Experience Previous experience in a food preparation role within the food industry is preferred. Familiarity with catering services or experience as a dietary aide is a plus. Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques are essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
