The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or catering service.

*Duties* * Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables and fruits. * Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and preparing dishes as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all food handling guidelines are followed. * Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, ovens, and grills safely and efficiently. * Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. * Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. * Adhere to health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.

*Experience* * Previous experience in a food preparation role within the food industry is preferred. * Familiarity with catering services or experience as a dietary aide is a plus. * Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques are essential. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
