We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a critical role in supporting kitchen operations by preparing fresh ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the efficient flow of food preparation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, follows instructions precisely, and takes pride in creating a clean and organized workspace that sets the foundation for a successful kitchen.
Key Responsibilities: Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice vegetables, fruits, meats, and seafood in accordance with recipes and preparation standards.
Station Setup: Prepare and organize workstations with the necessary tools, ingredients, and supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
Food Safety & Sanitation:<BR>Follow all health and safety guidelines for food handling, storage, and sanitation to maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
Support to Chefs: Assist chefs in preparing sauces, dressings, and basic dishes as needed, while keeping up with prep lists and shift priorities.
Inventory & Stock Rotation:<BR>Help monitor ingredient levels, label and date products, and rotate stock to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
Cleaning & Maintenance:<BR>Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized workstation throughout the shift, and assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and tools.
Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of food waste and recyclables in accordance with kitchen policies and sustainability goals.
Compliance & Procedures:<BR>Follow all kitchen procedures and recipes as directed by chefs and kitchen supervisors, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
Job Requirements: Prior kitchen or food prep experience preferred, but not required
Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and knife skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
