*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the kitchen by assisting with meal preparation and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. This position requires a passion for cooking and an eagerness to contribute to a dynamic food service environment.
*Duties*
* Prepare ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. * Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager to ensure consistency in meal preparation. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. * Assist in the cooking process as needed, providing support during busy service times. * Handle food items safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients. * Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery and high-quality standards. * Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages to management.
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred but not mandatory. * Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. * Proficient knife skills for efficient meal preparation. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. * Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic kitchen setting. * Experience working within a dietary department is a plus but not required.
