DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES -
Provide oversight and direct supervision to front desk registration employees of medical, dental and behavioral health service lines at two locations on Pittsburgh's Northside.
Provide oversight of medical assistants.
Monitor and meet practice specific benchmarks inclusive of point of service and scheduling (inclusive of template management for timely patient access).
Analyze staff development needs and initiates training programs with COO to meet those needs. Schedule employee orientation and staff development training.
Assist leadership team in the formation of quarterly and yearly goals, and in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support Registration/Scheduling and Clinical operations.
Establish an effective workflow to collect required data elements for federal reporting.
Provide backup coverage to direct staff in order to support daily processes performed during vacations, absences, etc.
Collaborates with Clinical Chiefs on developing patient schedules and building templates in the electronic medical record
Attends morning huddle with multi-disciplinary staff.
Develop and maintain a patient-centric culture, centered around patient arrival and follow-up activities.
Engage in open communication with the Leadership team regarding information systems, third party payer and regulatory updates and/or enhancements and ensures appropriate training is provided to staff.
Develop and maintain detailed policies and procedures with coordination of Leadership team.
Communicate with and assist Performance Analyst in the development, implementation and training of practice management system enhancements (i.e. eCW, Azara, Aledade). Provide analysis and initiate documentation for the enhancements to the practice management system as required to support the processes and changes.
Investigate, analyze and recommend actions and solutions for registration, financial counseling, coding, charge entry, cash collection, posting and balancing problems.
Participate in the recruitment and evaluation of personnel under direct supervision of the COO. Provide timely performance evaluations.
Perform random audits of staff work to monitor performance and quality. Monitor quality and performance issues; follow up with COO and/or HR with findings. Investigate staff issues and provides feedback as appropriate on resolution.

Ability to interact with cultural competency with medically underserved groups and communities
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be organized and demonstrate initiative, judgement, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to utilize computers for data entry and information retrieval
Must possess effective, professional oral and written communication skills
Must maintain an effective and positive professional working relationship with staff and patients

QUALIFICATIONS (Required for Employment)
Bachelor's Degree + 2 years healthcare experience w/ 1 year management experience required.
Experience working with patients in an underserved population who have experienced homelessness, poverty, trauma, neglect, abuse, mental health, and/or substance abuse
Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Clearances 33,34,73
Annual influenza vaccine
Must obtain or provide proof (prior to start date): PPD, Tdap, Hepatitis B Immunity, MMR Immunity, Varicella Immunity
