The Chanda Center for Health is a premier nonprofit clinic located in Lakewood (approximately 15 minutes from downtown Denver). We provide a holistic spectrum of servicesincluding massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, occupational therapy and physical therapy for individuals with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and spina bifida. We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Lakewood team, with options for full-time employment or as an independent contractor. In this role, you will be a cornerstone of our rehabilitation department, working under the direct supervision of our on-site Physical Therapist, Scott, to deliver high-intensity, life-changing rehabilitation. Long term growth: 2027 expansion into 6,000 sq ft state-of-the-art adaptive gym, with a growing Physical Therapy team and practice. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Excellence: Execute complex physical therapy treatments following the established Plan of Care for participants with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and other neuromuscular conditions Specialized Tech Lead: Master and implement advanced modalities, including Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES, Xcite2), Vibration Plates, and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR), to maximize functional outcomes Integrative Collaboration: Actively participate in the broader Chanda Center team, collaborating with massage therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors to ensure a holistic approach to participant wellness Caseload Management: Maintain a consistent full-time schedule, ensuring high-quality therapy documentation is completed within 48 hours of treatment Safety & Advocacy: Prioritize participant safety and dignity at all times, serving as an advocate for the disability community within the clinic Qualifications: Certification: Current Colorado Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing. Clinical Expertise: Experience or strong interest in working with neurologic populations preferred.
