Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications: Successfulgraduation from a school giving a course of not less than two years forphysical therapist assistants, which has been approved for the educationalpreparation of physical therapist assistants by the appropriate accreditingagency recognized by the Commission on Recognition of PostsecondaryAccreditation or the United States Department of Education at the time of heror his graduation and have passed to the satisfaction of the board anexamination to determine her or his fitness for practice as a physical therapistassistant
Mustbe licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a physical therapist assistantin the state of
Prior experience in Physical Therapy, preferred
Member of state and national American Physical TherapyAssociation, preferred
Professional attitude and appearance
Proficientadministrative and public relations skills
Thoroughknowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in physicaltherapy
