Responsibilities
Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications per USP , , and guidelines (as applicable) Operate within ISO-classified cleanrooms using proper aseptic and gowning procedures Accurately measure, mix, and document ingredients using approved processes and equipment Maintain cleanroom sanitation and update batch records, logs, and inventory Label and package medications for pharmacist verification Assist with inventory control and restocking needs Promptly report deviations or equipment issues Participate in QA audits and continuous process improvement initiatives
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (or eligibility to obtain) 1–2 years of compounding experience (sterile, non-sterile, or both) Familiarity with cleanroom procedures and USP compliance standards Strong attention to detail and precise documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy Knowledge of USP hazardous drug handling procedures Experience with batch documentation software (e.g., PK Compounder, Lifefile) Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Comfortable working in cleanroom attire with repetitive sterile procedures
