(*Current AHC employees not eligible - see below under additional details.)Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Pharmacy Technician III for our Pharmacy Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Pharmacy Technician III you will: •Oversight and execution of role specific functions and operationsGenerate reports, and participate in improvement projects•Perform responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician I and/or Pharmacy Technician II•Additional duties as assigned Qualifications include:•Required: High school diploma or equivalent•Preferred: Graduation from an ASHP accredited or PTCB recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program.•Required: At least 3 years experience in a hospital setting, with automated distribution systems, decentralized pharmacy services, and sterile compounding. Working knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800.•Preferred: Specific advanced experience with area appropriate to role responsibilities (ie - Medication History, Sterile Compounding, etc)•Preferred: Previous experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, Carousels.•Required: Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.•Required: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).•Preferred: PTCB Advanced Certification (CPhT-Adv); or PTCB Certificate in appropriate focus (ie - Medication History, Sterile Compounding, etc)Work Schedule:This is a full-time night shift position; 8:30 pm - 7:00 am , 7 nights on / 7 nights off.Every other rotation (Wednesday night to Tuesday morning)Competitive night shift differentials available*Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity.
