Pharmacy Technician - Processing/Front-End We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role primarily focuses on front-end processing tasks, including answering phones, processing refills and new prescriptions, assisting walk-in customers, and managing communications with prescribers and pharmacists. This position rotates between the processing area and the front desk, offering a dynamic and interactive work environment. Responsibilities Answer phones and process refills and new prescriptions in the pharmacy software. Assist walk-in customers at the front desk with all will call transactions. Manage voicemails from the inbox and triage calls to pharmacists in the processing room. Fax refill requests to prescribers and assist processing pharmacists with small projects. Sort hard copies, cut bubble wrap for shipping, and shred PHI for organizational tasks. Lift and move containers weighing up to 20 lbs as needed. Essential Skills 1+ year(s) of experience in a pharmacy setting. Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (PT) or Oregon Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT). Proficiency in pharmacy software and data entry. Experience with customer service in any setting. Ability to multitask, including talking on the phone while operating a computer. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy. High School Diploma/GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in retail pharmacy, compounding, or pharmacy support roles. Ability to manage multiple computer screens, tabs/windows, and systems. Strong work ethic with motivation to achieve performance metrics. Proven history of reliability, positive attendance, and teamwork. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday with shifts rotating weekly, including every third Saturday. Shifts include opening (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM), mid (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM), and closing (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM). The team operates on the second floor in a call-center-like environment with low cubicle walls. Employees must wear dedicated lab shoes that are closed-toed and made of solid material. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, health insurance, and a 401(k) plan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
